We headed out to the zoo today! It was such a beautiful day, so we packed a picnic lunch and spent a few hours at the zoo. Grace even sat in her stroller for a good hour or so while we looked at animals, which is rare! The highlight for Grace was the Jaguar, who was napping and kept raising his head up to look at her.(The picture above was on our walk to the zoo, it was REALLY busy so we had to park a good half mile away, but there were some fabulous photo opps along the way!)
I just saw on TMZ that zoo's (maybe the LA zoo don't remember) is "firing" animals because of the recession. I don't know how you fire an animal but I guess they are going to get rid of several less popular animal exhibits to cut costs- sad. I'm assuming they are going to send them to other zoos, it's not like they coudl fend for themselves in the wild at this point.
