My mom turned the big 5-0 on December 11th. Dad and I decided over a month ago that we'd like to do a Surprise 50th Bash for her at their home in AZ. I planned from afar, and then Grace and I flew out on Saturday for the big day! Boy was she surprised! My dad and a few family members took her wine tasting while the rest of us set up (all of our Cali family came ahead of time). We had around 70 people or so, and they hid in the kitchen when they returned. My mom literally fell on her rear, it was hilarious (I almost posted that picture but couldn't do that to my dear old mom).

Gracie and her best buddy Tabby. Tabby is my goddaughter, and the "baby" of the grandchildren (I'm the oldest). Now we're on to the next generation already with Grace. Tabby and Grace just had the best time, Tabby is very patient!
This picture is 3 years in the making! My cousin Jess has tried for 3 years to get a good picture of her and Grace, and G is always a little stinker around Jess for some reason. FINALLY we have one! 
Mom & her best buddy Leslie, who drove down with her family from California for the big night! The Warner's are like family to us, and it was so great to catch up!
Where the hotties at? My Aunt Gail, future Aunt Jenny, and Cousin Jess.I finally got to meet my Uncle Matt's fiance Jenny. They are getting hitched in July, and we're adding some more good Scandinavian blood to the crew (Jenny is originally from Sweden, and moved to San Diego about 10 years ago).
It was a very memorable night and weekend! Happy Birthday Mom!
