After about 15 years of long hair, I have officially gone short (pardon the wierd squinty eye in picture #2). I've been shortening my hair gradually for about a year and I finally bit the bullet yesterday with my favorite hair stylist in AZ. I'm not sure what I think yet, my pony tail is a little stub! I had a HORRIBLE cut in 8th grade, shoulder length and super poofy (think mushroom head), and ever since then I have stuck with the long. My hair was hit my lower back for a number of years and then mid-back for the last several years. My thought was that I'd go short in the winter and if I am not a fan, it will grow out by summer to well below my shoulder and we'll just let it keep on growing. I had to try it...my husband will NOT like it, he always threatens to bic his head if I was ever to cut all my hair off...when we met I was in the hair almost to the lower back phase! Isn't it funny how husbands have very strong feelings about their wives hair? It's not like he's the one that was spending almost 20-30 minutes to dry and style the darn hair!
husbands are funny. my sister chopped her hair off much shorter than your hair and her husband called her a "butch" but she looked SOOO stinkin cute with short hair.
ReplyDeleteI think your hair looks GREAT short, and it's not really that short most people would call that a medium length I think.
I bet it feels good. I got my hair cut pretty short when Maddie was about a year or so and it felt soo good to have it gone. I've been trying to grow it back out but I don't get my hair cut/trimmed very often so it takes long.
Your hubby might have a change in heart once he sees your hair.
oh and if he does bic his head post a picture!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks really good! My sister and I cut our hair (12+ inches) for Locks of Love when I was pregnant...came back to Africa and Zach was...surprised;-)
ReplyDeleteWOW! it looks great Erika! Tabitha wasn't so sure, you know she has always loved your Rapunzel hair :)
